What I do

I’m Daniel, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary director driven by a deep passion for storytelling. I thrive on discovering and sharing compelling narratives that captivate audiences. My work has been recognized and selected for esteemed festivals across the globe, including renowned events like Annecy in France, Hiroshima in Japan, Chilemonos in Chile, and Ventana Sur Argentina among others.

I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, I’ve amassed over 12 years of experience as a director, creator, and an entrepreneur. I co-founded two animation studios, “El Hombre Invisible Visual Arts” (2010 to 2015) and “Alicia Animation House” (2017 to 2020). These ventures allowed me to unleash my creativity by developing original ideas for various mediums like TV, advertising, and cinema. I’ve also had the privilege of being selected for various international scholarships that have enriched my craft like Bridging the Gap program in Valencia, Spain, to the inspiring TIFA in Cusco, Peru, and the impactful MAI in Santiago, Chile, I also participated in Talent Doc in La Paz, Bolivia, which allowed me to delve into the world of transmedia and documentary filmmaking.
